Called into the pub on a wet bank holiday Monday 31/8/2009 because it looked appealing from the road. All we wanted was a quick drink and some hot food after a days walking in Dovedale ( Derbyshire ). The menu offered a reasonable choice of food from which I chose the steak & ale pie and my wife chose the salmon in tarragon butter. We didn't have to wait long for our food and while we waited our appetites were whetted by the sight of other peoples meals being brought from the kitchen. All I can say is if you like real, fresh food freshly cooked (and proper chips) and served by attentive staff and you like plenty of it then like us you will be extremely satisfied. Great pub, Great food.
